All you do is go to one of the sites and enter your site’s name and URL and click “ping”. It’s just that simple.
(If you use Pingler.com, don’t also use Pingomatic because Pingler will ping Pingomatic for you.)

Posting on forums can also get your site indexed, and provide backlinks as well. Many forums get crawled on a regular basis since there is new content on a regular basis. Typically you would put your link in signature file rather than in the body of your post or comment.
